JACKSONVILLE, Fla. Damian Jones Jersey . -- EJ Manuel followed the worst game of his career with the best. Call it progress, maturity or resiliency. The Buffalo Bills hope its a little of each. The rookie threw two touchdown passes and ran for another score, leading the Bills to a 27-20 victory against the banged-up Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday. Manuel bounced back from a four-interception performance at Tampa Bay last week and left his college state with his first win in five road starts. The former Florida State star didnt do anything spectacular, just dinking and dunking the Jaguars for 193 yards. He also ran for 37 yards, including an 8-yard touchdown in the second quarter. Still, it was his first three-TD game at this level. "I think thats a part of the maturation as an offence, especially us young guys and the skilled positions," Manuel said. Manuel completed 17 of 24 passes. Robert Woods caught five of them for 82 yards, including a 7-yard score. Scott Chandler added five receptions for 54 yards. The Bills (5-9) turned the game twice, once at the end of the first half and again in the fourth quarter. Buffalo scored 10 points in the final 2:14 before halftime, taking a 20-10 lead into the locker room. The Jaguars (4-10) rallied to tie it in the fourth, evening the score on Chad Hennes 13-yard TD pass to Marcedes Lewis. Manuel answered, though, capping an 89-yard drive with a 1-yard TD pass to fullback Frank Summers. With it, Manuel set the franchises rookie record for touchdown passes with 11. "He learns from snap to snap," Bills coach Doug Marrone said. "Youre seeing a quarterback thats involved in a process thats getting better and better. Weve seen times when hes played very, very well." Jacksonville was in the game all day despite playing without leading rusher Maurice Jones-Drew, leading receiver Cecil Shorts III and starting left guard Will Rackley. The Jaguars were in position to tie things up late, but a series of miscues proved costly. On first-and-goal from the 1, they lost 4 yards on Justin Todmans run wide. Chad Henne followed with two horrible throws, one receiver Mike Brown batted down to prevent an interception and another one Stephon Gilmore picked off in the end zone with 3:15 remaining. Henne said he threw the pass to Brown because he was being held and expected a flag. It never came. "Youve got to throw it or theyre not going to see who the receiver is," Henne said. "If you dont throw it, they dont call it. My job is to throw it where hes supposed to be and obviously they didnt see it." Still, the Jaguars had one final shot, getting the ball back with 1:46 remaining, but failed to pick up a first down. Henne was sacked for the fifth time on the final drive, giving Buffalo an NFL-leading 49. That also tied the franchise record set in 1995. "Weve been in these types of games throughout the year and have come up on the short side of it," Marrone said. "I give the players credit for hanging in there today because we came up on the side we want to be on." The Bills had lost five of their last six, including three in a row on the road. Jacksonville, meanwhile, had its three-game winning streak come to an end. "It was a game of missed opportunities," Jags coach Gus Bradley said. "We didnt play like were capable of playing, whether it was a fumble, interception, things like that. In the locker room, our hearts are broken right now because of this, but I felt like our spirit is not." Few outsiders gave Bradleys team a chance because of the injuries. Things got worse when backup guard Mike Brewster broke his left ankle in the first half. Along with Hennes late interception, the play Jacksonville will point to is Denard Robinsons fumble near the goal line early in the third. Aaron Williams knocked the ball loose for the Bills, and it rolled through the end zone for a touchback. "Definitely a bad taste in your mouth after the performance out there as a team today," Jaguars left tackle Cam Bradfield said. Equally alarming for Jacksonville was Buffalos 198 yards rushing. Fred Jackson had 80, and C.J. Spiller added 67. The gashing ground game opened things up for Manuel. "This game just shows how good EJ can be," Jackson said. "He had a rough game last week. It was something he put on himself that he has to play better. He came out and did that. " NOTES: Both teams were officially eliminated from playoff contention with Miamis win. ... Bills DT Marcell Dareus (ankle) and SS Aaron Williams (ribs) left the game. Marrone had no update on either starter. ... Jaguars LB Geno Hayes left the game twice with injuries, but returned both times. Kevin Durant Jersey . She was a pioneer. She did things on skis that made the birds take notice. Wilt Chamberlain Jersey . “The shootout, theres nothing wrong with it, I think its an exciting part of the game but its just one small aspect,” said Chicago Blackhawks GM Stan Bowman. “Its a skill exhibition. If you can get it back closer to regular hockey and have it decided that way; that would be my preference.” “I dont think its a knock on the shootout, I think more of the managers would like to see it end in overtime,” added Washington Capitals GM George McPhee. http://www.shopwarriorsonline.com/Cheap-Rick-Barry-Warriors-Jersey/ .Mateo Kovacic and Andrea Ranocchia scored for Inter, which had goalkeeper Samir Handanovic to thank for several crucial saves. Its an important victory against a Chievo side which plays well, Mancini said.MONTREAL -- It was all about energy as the youthful New York Islanders skated rings around the Montreal Canadiens. Ryan Strome and Brock Nelson scored power-play goals late in the second period and Evgeni Nabokov made 19 saves for the shutout as the Islanders downed the listless Canadiens 2-0 on Thursday night. "We outworked them," said the Islanders Matt Martin. "They played (Wednesday) night and we were a little fresher than them and we had some young legs in the lineup. "We tracked hard." The loss, combined with Tampa Bays 4-2 win over Philadelphia, compromised the Canadiens (45-28-8) chances of starting the playoffs on home ice. Montreal is second in the Atlantic Division with 98 points and one game left to play while the Lightning has 97 points with two games left in the regular season. The Canadiens will need to win their final regular season game Saturday night at home against the New York Rangers and hope the Lightning lose either Friday night against Columbus or Sunday against Washington. "You want home ice, you want to go into the playoffs feeling good about your game, and weve got Saturday night to do that," said Montreal captain Brian Gionta. The Canadiens felt anything but good about their play against the Islanders (32-37-11), who posted their first regulation time win in four games but improved to 7-2-2 in their last 11. Nabokov got his fourth shutout of the season. "Its no fun losing at this time, but sometimes, youre just not good enough," said Thomas Vanek, who was traded to Montreal by the Islanders last month. "You have to give them credit, and at the same time, we sucked. "The coaches prepared us and -- I dont know if it was tired legs or we were mentally not there or both, but overall they kept skating hard and putting pressure on us and we didnt have a push back." The Canadiens also got the bad news that second line winger Alex Galchenyk,, who appeared to injure his right knee in Wednesdays 3-2 overtime loss in Chicago, will miss the first round of playoffs with a lower body injury. Kevon Looney Jersey. . Montreal came out flat and never got any momentum as they were outshot 30-19. New York held a 9-2 shot advantage early in the opening period but couldnt beat Carey Price, even when the Montreal goaltender wandered halfway up the left boards and then misplayed the puck. But Canadiens defenceman Douglas Murray, who returned from a three game suspension, was ejected at 10:52 of the second period for a check from behind on Johan Sundstrom. The Islanders rookie turned around just as the Canadiens defenceman hit him at the side of the net into the end boards. Sundstrom was injured and was taken to hospital. New York coach Jack Capuano said Sundstrom would likely be kept in hospital for observation and not travel with the team back to New York. "It was a tough one," said Capuano. "(Murray) is not that type of player. "Its one hed probably like to have back. Hopefully our guy will be all right." The Islanders used the ensuing power play to open the scoring, as Strome put a shot past Price through a Casey Cizikas screen from the right circle at 15:07. With Vanek off for high-sticking, Nelson whipped a shot under the cross bar from close range at 19:40. Canadiens coach Michel Therrien said only Prices solid goaltending kept the score close. "It was bad performance fro our team," said Therrien. "Every aspect of our game wasnt sharp." Murray drew his first career suspension for an elbow to the head of Tampa Bays Michael Kostka on April 1. Notes: Price and defencemen Andrei Markov and Alexei Elemin, who were given a game off Wednesday in Chicago, were back in the lineup. Forward Lars Eller missed a second game with a flu. . . after the game, the Canadiens returned defenceman Nathan Beaulieu to AHL Hamilton.
